Smart Living Systems works with the provider agency to assess each individual on what their individual needs are. Based on this assessment, Smart Living Systems recommends what assistive technology can address this person’s need and the costs associated with the recommendation. If required, after the assessment is accepted by the State through their Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver process, Smart Living Systems will work with the provider agency to install the equipment and system. Smart Living Systems will also train the provider agency on how to use and install the equipment.
Prices vary on the assistive technology needed to address each person’s need and, if applicable, what is allowed via the Medicaid HCBS waiver process. A bid is created by Smart Living Systems based on the assessment.
